We are currently recruiting for an Out of Hours  Support Worker – Refuge Accommodation

26 hours per week. £23,434.32 pro rota FTE (Actual £16,467.36 PA) plus on call at £16 per session.

Working hours will be: 3- 4 evenings and some weekends -hours to be agreed with the appointed candidate.

Nottingham Central Women’s Aid is a registered charity and company and has grown significantly over the past seven years. We are now seeking to recruit for the following post:

Out of Hours Support Worker, in a small team, is responsible for the support of women and children within the complex needs refuge accommodation during the evenings and weekends. The worker will be expected to plan and facilitate a minimum of 4 activities per week for the families and to take all reasonable steps to ensure that the work and activities meet individual needs as appropriate, with regards to families’ cultural and religious backgrounds, any additional needs and to actively challenge stereotypes.

The availability to attend the Refuge in an emergency situation is essential.

The post is funded until July 2022 initially. This post will be subject to relevant Disclosure and Barring Scheme checks and it is an Occupational Requirement that applications are open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, Paragraph 1, of the Equality Act 2010.

This post is funded through the National Lottery, Big Lottery Fund.
